  Perhaps the Alexis should call themselves a motel or inn because tourists have a preconceived image of what a hotel is, and the Alexis does not fit into that image.

  Clean place. The room was quite hot and there is no ac and there was no handle to open the window. Also the food was not very good. Nice view.

  This is family-owned and they and the kitchen staff were very friendly. The food was incredible and overall we enjoyed our stay there.

  Cold water in the room, no conditioner, internet connection really bad...food was ok but long waiting time. Serving alcohol this is best part of it.

  My husband and I arrived about 8 pm one night hoping to get a room (and we had a dog with us). Fortunately we got a room and it was on the ground level. I am baffled by a couple of the comments here at Google as our room was clean and the bathroom was fully functioning and clean. It is a hotel in the middle of hundreds of miles of nature - so you can't expect a Holiday Inn type accommodation. We found our night there to be a pleasant one.

  I understand this place is in the middle of nowhere. However it's pretty bad. You will stay there because there is no other choice but the place is pretty crappy just know that in advance.

  In Port Hope Simpson this is the only option for accommodations other than a B & B for hundreds of kilometres.
